CES Gives Back

Guatemala

Consultative Examination Services, Inc. is giving back to the community by sponsoring free clinics in a small town in the Central American country of Guatemala.  Panajachel is a town in the southwestern Guatemalan Highlands, less than 90 miles from Guatemala City, in the department of Sololá.  The town of Panajachel is located on the Northeast shore of Lake Atitlán.

CES, Inc. has sought to help the community, which is largely made up of indigenous Maya.  Medical care is not easily accessed by the locals.  CES, Inc. and a local Evangelical church, Iglesia de Cristo Monte Gerizim have teamed up to offer medical services at no cost to the local community.

Monte Gerizim offers their building and volunteers, while CES, Inc. provides the medical care specialist.  Flyers and banners are passed out in the community and posted around the campus of Monte Gerizim to keep the locals informed of upcoming health fairs.

In November 2017, CES, Inc. and Monte Gerizim launched its first clinic day, offering chiropractic adjustments at no cost.  Locals in "Pana" as this town is known, are no strangers to hard labor as farmers, construction workers, service industry workers, etc. Most of them work from sunrise to sundown with no access to medical care.  Having a chiropractor provide them free adjustments was new to many of them.  Needless to say, the outcome was a success.  People lined up at the entrance of the church to be able to have an opportunity to be adjusted by the chiropractor from Pablo's Chiropractic Center, a local chiropractic clinic in Panajachel.

In January 2018, CES, Inc. and Monte Gerizim teamed up again and sponsored a free clinic day where we offered physician and surgeon, Dr. Erik Molina Abadia's services.  He offered free general medical examinations, free medication and free vitamins for the children in attendance.

Below are some of the photo albums shared by our Monte Gerizim team.  We are thankful for this collaboration and are proud to assist people who would not have medical care otherwise.
